Energy efficient private residence located in Newton, MA. Green Design, Green Architecture. This home is the first GOLD, LEED Certified Home gut renovation in Massachusetts. It utilizes rigorous insulation techniques, state of the art heating/cooling system, passive and active solar systems and certified renewable materials inside and out. Sangiolo Associates acted as Architect, Landscape Architect and Interior Designer.
1970's Ranch transformed into a Colonial Revival. Doubled in size and completely redone inside and out. We added a second floor and bumped out the foundation in just two small strategic spots.
A mixed use project in Mission Hill. Two retail units at the street level and 4 apartments above. The scope of work included total rehab, new structural frame,new exterior lintels, new windows, restoring the street level facade. We also added a new electrical, mechanical, sprinkler system, fire alarm, security system and elevator.We used an industrial aesthetic with commercial doors and frames, exposed structure, ductwork etc.

Transformation of a non descript North Carolina Cabin (photo lower right) into a Mountain Home. The exisiting cabin was renovated into bedrooms and a new addition containing the public spaces was added to maximize the wonderful Smokey Mountain views.
